Notes: Possibly Thomas STOTEN and Sarah COOK who married at Ardeley on
4 Jun 1770.
Thomas & Sarah were probably also the parents of Samuel STOTON, who married Catherine
HOPES at Sandon on 27 Jun 1799, and spawned the numerous Sandon STOTONs of the
1800s. At the 1851 Sandon census, Samuel was 74, and born (about 1777) at Kelshall.
The only STOTONs who were baptising chidren at Kelshall in this period were
Thomas & Sarah.
