In the Name of God Amen

I Elizabeth Barker of Steeple in the County of Essex Widow being

of Sound and disposing mind memory and understanding (blessed be God

for the Same) Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament in

manner following that is to Say First I give and bequeath unto my

Son Isaac Barker the Sum of Five Pounds to be paid to him at the end

of One Calendar Month next after my Decease Also I give and

bequeath unto my Son Thomas Barker the Sum of One Hundred

Pounds to be paid to him at the End of twelve Calendar Months next

after my Decease Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth

Barker the Sum of Fifty Pounds to be paid to her at the End of

Eighteen Calendar Months next after my Decease Also I give and

bequeath unto my Son Joseph Barker the Sum of Fifty Pounds to be

to be paid at the End of two years next after my Decease And I give and

bequeath unto him my Son Joseph Barker the Lease of my Farm

in Southminster in the said County of Essex called Landor[?] or otherwise

and all my Right Title Term of Years and Interest on and in the Same

Farm with the appurtenances and the Said Lease thereof Also I give

and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Barker the Sum of Fifty

Pounds to be paid to her at the end of three years next after my Decease

Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Barker the Sum of

Two Hundred Pounds to be paid to her at her age of one and twenty

years And I do nominate and appoint my friend Mr John Truss[?] the

Guardian to my Said Daughter untill She Shall attain the Said age

of one and twenty years And I give unto him the said John Truss[?] the

Sum of five Pounds for his care and trouble in the Guardianship of my

Said Daughter Sarah And I give to her my Said Daughter Sarah

my Silver Tankard And all the rest residue and remainder of my

moneys Securities for money Lease of and Interest in Farms

Goods Chattels Debts Stock Emblements Effects and personal Estate

whatsoever and wheresoever not herein before my me given or disposed

of (my just Debts Funeral Charges and the Costs of the Probate of this my

Will being first paid and Satisfied) I give and bequeath unto my Son

John Barker to and for his own proper use and benefit And I do

nominate make and appoint him my said Son John Barker full and

Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do revoke

former and other Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have

hereunto Set my hand and Seal the Seventh Day of February in the

Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Five. The

Mark of Elizabeth ' X ' Barker. Signed Sealed published and Declared

by the Said Elizabeth Barker the Testator as and for her last Will

and Testament in our presence and attested by us in her and in each

This Will

was Proved on the Fifth Day of March in the year of our Lord One

Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty five before the Reverend George

Cowperthwaite Clerk Surrogate and by the Oath of John Barker Son of the

deceased and Sole Executor to whom Administration of all and Singular

the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Said deceased was granted and

committed on the Seventh Day of the Said Month of March he being first

sworn duly to Administer
