[10687] Notes: On 19th March 1834, when the ship Samuel Robertson arrived in New York on its journey from London, England, among the 106 passengers aboard, was the MATTHEWS family, comprising Ann 48, the mother, and her children, William 21, John 18, Ephraim 14, Ann 12, Eliza 6, and Caroline 4. The father of the chidren, and husband of Ann, Ephraim MATTHEWS senior, was not with the family, but had presumably made the journey at an earlier date, in order to pave the way for his family's arrival.

Recorded as Mr Edward PRASCEY (only one other Mr on the page, indicating his
status as a 'gentleman').
On 24 May 1780, less than two weeks after he was buried, Edward PRASCEY's will was proved in London. In the will, his surname
is PRASCEY, the spelling he mostly used in adult life. Due to it's numerous
bequests to the family of Edward's half-sister Elizabeth, the will has provided
invaluable help with the task of identifying her descendants.
