Note 1: At the 1901 census, the widowed Elizabeth A WITT is recorded as
the mother of Hezekiah J WITT, aged 23 (born c.1878). No previous evidence
exists for such a son, not in the GRO births index, nor in the 1881/1891 census.
Enumerator error? Quite possibly. One of Elizabeth's known sons
using a different name? Unlikely, as the nearest in age (Alfred born c.1879)
was working as a servant in Camberwell. The only other possibility is
Frederick Frank, who cannot be found in 1901, but he would have been 26 or 27.
So Hezekiah J WITT is a mystery. Perhaps he will reappear in the 1911
census.....?
Note 2: Elizabeth Ann was sole beneficiary of her husband Henry's will in 1899
