[10758] Source: Partial transcript of "Essex, England, Church of England Births and Baptisms, 1813-1918", online at Ancestry.co.uk. Parents were recorded as Alfred William & Maud TURNER. Bessie was baptised again on 6 Sep 1907 at the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Plaistow, at the same time as her younger sister, Grace Lilian. The reason for the two baptisms (both in C of E churches) is not known, but perhaps Bessie's parents had forgotten about the first one by 1907.
